Alpha Whispering

Alpha whispering...or lack there of

Today is the first day of 2015. A couple of things have come to light late in the year for 2014, but forgive never forget. One of the key elements that came up late in the year for me was how to tame me or make me fold into submission. Therein lies the problem, I have always been and always will be an Alpha. When I say Alpha, I mean am no follower. I always have and always will walk my own path to things. Whether it be proactive or counter productive, I learn by contrition. We Alphas cannot be tamed or beaten into submission, rather we can be reasoned with. I by no means am saying that I'm a jerk just for the purpose of being a jerk. What I am saying is if you need me to accomplish something, meet me on even ground and put in the same effort that you wish for me to provide. If you come to the table bringing shenanigans, expect to recieve the same treatment. Don't act shocked about it either, its just who we are. Basically, don't expect to outsmart those whose upbringing was to survive. All that being said, we are loyal people, and will provide the same effort as recieved. Just don't assume that this is my first rodeo. I've been fighting battles my entire life. Most of them silently and internally, but battles nonetheless.

All the transgression aside....lets move on.

Today was supposed to be my first day of excersise. The only real thing excercised was my patience when the belt on my car came out of alignment. As my father taught me, figure it out and tackle the problem head on. I stopped over at Auto Zone and bought a tensioner wrench, a few monments later the car was back in business. I'm no mechanic by any means but I can accomplish what I need with enough tools and will power. I spent the majority of the day just making sure ieverything was golden. Good news though is the days preceding the new year was those of gains in the gym. I was hitting new PR's (personal records) in just about everything. Arms I've graduated to 185 on bench and 70's on dumbells. 135 on back rows, and 365 on deadlifts. My biceps are still eh, but my tris are pulling in at 150. Overall this past year has been one of leaps and bounds. When I got back into the gym this past august I was pushing maybe 30s on dumbells and that was a shaky maybe. I stuck it out though, and pushed on and shut up and lifted. The best gym gear I own were headphones. Tune out and dive in. Rep after painstaking rep. Aside from the gym, I put in more hours reading up on how to perfect my form in everything. I am trying to build a concise machine or a strength factory. I am striving at being the best version of myself everytime I set foot in a gym.

Goals
My goals for 2015

More Cardio and to complete a 5k. As was suggested I might start with a mud run and go from there. We'll definitely see. Also I want to be pushing 100's on dumbells by spring. I set my goals low enough to reach but not so low that its too easy. It all comes down to that 4 letter word WORK. In the words of CT Fletcher, if you want something you have to work for it. Don't expect to have it tonight or a year from now, expect to work for it. In short fitness has to be a lifestyle not  fad.

Finale...

Here is the first day of beard growing, and a couple of gym shots. The gym shots are for gain tracking purposes.

Remember find something you want commit, never give up and don't let people sway you from your personal goals. Chances are the people wanting you to fail are failures themselves.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
